ShipSense is a US-based shipping and logistics company that helps businesses manage their parcel shipping operations
We're looking for a detail-oriented builder to own the technical side of our revenue operations. This is not a developer role — but it does require someone who can work confidently inside tools like HubSpot, set up automations, connect integrations, and build reporting dashboards without needing an engineer to hold their hand.
Compensation:
Base: Competitive monthly salary (commensurate with experience) — paid in USD
Structure: Independent contractor — you invoice ShipSense monthly
What You'll Do
Build and maintain our CRM (HubSpot) — pipelines, properties, views, sequences, workflows
Set up and manage automations and integrations between tools (e.g., HubSpot ↔ Slack, email, dialers, spreadsheets)
Build and maintain reporting dashboards so the team can see what's happening in the business
Troubleshoot when something breaks — find the root cause, fix it, and document what you did
Read and make light edits to scripts or configuration files when needed (no engineering degree required, but you can't be afraid of code)
Work alongside others to translate business needs into working system setups
Keep documentation up to date for everything you build
Requirements:
2+ years of hands-on experience building in CRMs and automation tools — not just using them, actually building
Extremely detail-oriented and organized
Comfort with integration tools (Zapier, Make/Integromat, or similar)
Can read and make basic edits to scripts or JSON/YAML config without needing a developer
Reliable internet and a stable working environment
HubSpot experience is a strong plus — pipelines, workflows, sequences, custom properties, reporting
Note
We work in US Pacific Time. This role has flexibility, but you must be available for at least 4 hours of overlap with our team (9 AM–5 PM PT) each day for calls, check-ins, and live collaboration. Async work is fine for the rest of your day.
