Student Travel Coordinator: Texts and Calls with US College Students (Full Time, US Hours)
About the role and the company hiring.
Hey! We're Flextrip, a travel company for American college students studying abroad in Europe. We help them plan their weekend trips: the best activities, boat days, restaurants, nightlife and places to stay, with local partners we trust and better prices. We've helped 2,800+ students so far, and almost all of it happens over text.
We're looking for someone who really connects with college students. Our clients are 19 to 22, so we want a casual, upbeat person who texts like a friend and brings fun energy.
What you'll do
Send our outreach and follow up texts to students from our company iMessage lines. We write the messages, you send them the right way, to the right people, on time
Sunday recruiting: reach out to new students, get them excited, and book them onto a call with our team
Keep our CRM (monday.com) updated after every text
Hand hot conversations to our team lead, and over time answer simple questions yourself
Once you're trained, hop on calls with students to help them plan their trips
Follow our texting rules exactly. Who gets a text and when really matters to us
Schedule: full time, 40 hours a week, Sunday to Thursday, US Eastern time
Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday: 11am to 7pm ET (6pm to 2am South Africa time)
Monday, Tuesday: 6am to 2pm ET (1pm to 9pm South Africa time)
Your first 3 weeks you work next to our team lead (she's in South Africa too) and learn everything
Pay
$1,200 to $1,700 USD a month (about R20,000 to R28,000) depending on experience, paid monthly by Wise
Long term role, we're growing
You need
Excellent English, written and spoken. You text and talk naturally, not like a script
2+ years in a job where you talked to customers all day (sales, bookings, appointment setting or customer success)
Experience with Mac OS
Super organized and reliable, comfortable sending a lot of texts accurately
Bonus if you love travel and college culture
