Social Media Marketing Assistant
About the role and the company hiring.
Our client is a growing commercial cleaning company based in London and is looking for a creative Social Media Content Creator to help build their presence across TikTok, Instagram and Facebook.
This is not a generic admin VA role. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys creating beautiful, engaging content and has a strong eye for aesthetics.
You will work directly with the founder and turn raw videos, photos, voice notes, ideas and real business experiences into content that makes the brand feel personal, professional and memorable.
What you will be doing:
• Editing TikToks, Instagram Reels and short-form videos
• Creating aesthetic and engaging Canva carousels
• Creating graphics and social posts
• Repurposing content across TikTok, Instagram and Facebook
• Writing captions and creating strong hooks
• Helping plan the weekly content calendar
• Researching trends and content ideas relevant to the brand
• Following reference accounts and adapting ideas to the client's brand and style
• Scheduling and organising content
We are looking for someone who:
• Has a portfolio of social media work
• Is confident using Canva
• Can edit short-form videos using CapCut or similar software
• Understands TikTok and Instagram content
• Has strong written English
• Has excellent visual taste and attention to detail
• Can take an idea and creatively develop it rather than needing every step explained
• Is reliable, organised and comfortable receiving feedback
A university degree is not required. Your portfolio, creativity and ability matter much more to us.
Hours: Approximately 10 hours per week initially
Starting rate: R65 per hour, equivalent to approximately £3 GBP per hour.
The initial six weeks will be a probation period. Candidates who successfully complete probation and demonstrate strong creativity, reliability and consistent quality will receive an increased hourly rate, with the opportunity for increased hours as the role develops.
