About Us We are a London-based bookseller with a passion for connecting readers with their next favourite book. We are scaling our paid social media operations and need a creative partner to build high-performing ad creatives for TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook. We don’t just want "likes"—we want content that stops the scroll and drives book sales.
The Role You will act as our Creative Virtual Assistant, focusing entirely on producing video and image assets for our paid ad campaigns. You will work closely with myself to turn marketing angles into visual reality. Whilst it is not a requirement to be on camera directly, it is an advantage. You will need to have a strong understanding of the market, and what draws attention.
What You Will Do:
Video Editing (CapCut): Take raw footage or stock footage and edit it into fast-paced, engaging TikTok/Reels ads. You must understand trending audio, pacing, and visual hooks.
Static Ad Design (Canva): Design high-conversion static images for Facebook and Instagram (e.g., carousels, quotes, book bundles).
Ad Variations: Create multiple versions of the same concept (A/B testing) by swapping out the "Hook" (first 3 seconds) and the Call to Action.
Trend Spotting: Keep an eye on #BookTok trends and suggest how we can adapt them into ads.
Requirements (Non-Negotiable):
Experience: Proven experience creating short-form video content (TikTok/Reels) for brands. You must understand the difference between an "organic post" and a "paid ad."
Tech Stack: Expert proficiency in CapCut and Canva.
Equipment: Reliable laptop/PC capable of video editing.
Language: Native-level English (written and spoken) with an understanding of UK spelling/grammar.
The "Eye": You understand aesthetic trends (Dark Academia, Romantasy vibes, Clean Girl aesthetic, etc.).
Nice to Have:
A genuine love for books/reading.
Experience with project management tools (like Trello).
