Short-Form Video Editor
We’re looking for a video editor to help us produce consistent short-form content for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and other social platforms.
We are NOT looking for someone who is necessarily an advanced or highly technical editor.
The most important thing is that you understand short-form content, know what sounds and editing styles are currently trending, and have a good eye for pacing, B-roll, music, and overall aesthetic.
Most of the content will be lifestyle-based B-roll videos rather than heavily edited talking-head videos.
The editing itself is relatively simple. We need someone who understands how to make simple footage feel engaging and current.
Responsibilities:
- Edit 3 short-form videos per day
- Select and organize lifestyle B-roll
- Find and use relevant/trending sounds
- Match music and B-roll to the right moments
- Understand pacing and when clips should change
- Add simple text/captions when needed
- Follow our existing content style and references
- Submit content consistently every day
Schedule:
- 35-40 hours a week
- 3 short-form videos per day (quick lifestyle type of videos)
- 2 long-form vlogs per month
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong understanding of Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
- Familiar with current short-form trends and sounds
- Good visual taste and attention to detail
- Able to follow examples and recreate an established style
- Reliable and able to deliver content every day
- Fast turnaround time
- Strong communication
