About the role and the company hiring.
Hello applicants!
Seeking a video editor of any skill level to assist with the production of my YouTube channel!

We focus on long-form video essays, so a lot of the technical information I talk about will be important to understand. You are not required to have an intimate knowledge of any topic you edit, but a basic understanding doesn't hurt. You will be given topics in advance so you can watch the video topic, or a summary or something so you're not entirely lost. Our video content is mostly "nerdy" franchises; Rick and Morty, Avatar: The Last Airbender and Invincible have been some of our recent videos, and we would like to do videos on Star Wars, Hazbin Hotel and Westworld in the future.
We also, occasionally, do livestream content. We may ask you to transition to cutting some shorts for those as well, but that's still a work in progress.
Skill level:
We will be looking at candidates of all skill levels, whether you do this as a hobby, a professional, or something in between. If you are on the inexperienced side, we will teach and train you up! I personally have over 12 years of video editing experience and my business partner has over 7.
Editing preferences:
We edit with the Adobe Suite, specifically Adobe Premiere. We would be open to an editor using Davinci Resolve as well. Final Cut X may be difficult to work with, as our team only uses windows machines. You must have access to one of these programs to be considered.
Editing style:
We are a relatively hands-off team when it comes to editing; as long as the work gets done, I don't care how long it takes, or what process it takes. If you want to edit in the middle of the night, that's fine. If you want to edit the end first, that's all good. As long as you can meet deadlines, we have no desire to micro-manage you. You will receive the same payment at the end of the week if you take 10 hours or 20. Just make sure the product is up to standard!
Language preferences:
Fluency in English is preferred, but as long as you can understand this posting, fluency is not required. We are an English speaking company and do not know any other languages.
Payment methods:
We will pay you in whatever online banking method is preferred by you. In the past we have used Zelle, Paypal, and Cashapp.
