We are a serviced accommodation and property management company operating across London. We manage short-term and medium-term accommodation for corporate travellers, relocation clients, contractors, medical stays, and leisure guests.
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Finance & Reporting Assistant to support our finance and reporting functions on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for someone with bookkeeping or accounting experience who enjoys working with numbers, reconciling records, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring financial information is accurate and up to date.
The successful candidate will take ownership of day-to-day financial administration, reporting updates, invoicing, reconciliations, and month-end preparation.
Working Hours/Budget
ZAR 4,200 per month
3 hours per day, Monday to Friday
UK working hours (flexibility provided)
Additional paid overtime may be required for month end reporting
Responsibilities
Perform daily bank reconciliations across multiple bank accounts and payment platforms
Maintain accurate records within Xero
Review expenses and allocate transactions using supporting information provided by the team
Investigate and resolve discrepancies independently
Prepare and issue invoices accurately and promptly
Monitor outstanding invoices and follow up on overdue balances where required
Maintain accurate accounts receivable records
Import and reconcile transactions within our reporting systems
Review booking information and supporting records
Reconcile booking income, management fees, cleaning charges, and operational expenses
Review monthly reports and identify unusual transactions or variances
Prepare month-end reporting schedules for management review
Ensure monthly reporting is completed by the 1st of each month
Prepare draft annual financial statements using existing company templates
Maintain organised financial records and supporting documentation
Identify opportunities to improve accuracy and efficiency within financial processes
Required Qualities
Required
Strong bookkeeping, finance, accounting, or reporting experience
Strong experience using Xero
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Excellent written and verbal English
Highly organised and detail-oriented
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Comfortable managing recurring deadlines
Strong sense of ownership and accountability
Preferred
Experience within serviced accommodation, property/Airbnb management or lettings
Experience preparing management accounts or annual accounts
Accounting qualification or studies in progress
Experience using Slack and ClickUp
