Role overview:
We are looking for a professional, organised and commercially minded remote contractor to support the growth of Scan Ladder, an innovative dental technology product used by implant dentists, dental laboratories and digital dentistry teams internationally.
The role will focus on reseller support, Shopify sales administration, distributor follow-up, lead generation, organic sales growth and reseller relationship development. This is a remote independent contractor position with a monthly retainer plus a performance-based bonus for qualifying new reseller sales.
A key part of the role will be to identify and organise new reseller leads, make initial contact with potential resellers, discuss their interest, gather basic order requirements and prepare them for introduction to the company director. The company director will then personally introduce himself, finalise commercial terms, issue the reseller contract and approve the first order.
Once resellers are signed up, the role will also involve routinely checking in with them to ensure they are actively promoting Scan Ladder, supporting them with approved marketing materials, encouraging course and education activity, linking promotional opportunities with Lucy, our Operations Manager, and helping to generate repeat orders.
Key responsibilities:
Liaise with current resellers and distributors to check stock levels, product needs and reorder timing.
Help existing resellers grow their Scan Ladder sales by providing approved product information, brochures and follow-up support.
Identify, research and organise potential new reseller leads, including dental suppliers, implant companies, dental laboratories, digital dentistry partners, training centres and relevant distributors.
Conduct initial reseller discussions, gather information on their interest, market, likely order requirements and reseller suitability, then prepare the opportunity for the company director to personally introduce himself, finalise terms and issue the reseller contract.
Maintain a simple CRM or reseller tracking spreadsheet with contact details, follow-up dates, stock status, next actions, reseller interest, order potential and opportunities.
Monitor Shopify enquiries, abandoned carts and customer activity where access is provided.
Send approved email templates, product information, brochures and reseller information to prospects and resellers.
Book calls or meetings for the company director or internal team where appropriate.
Routinely check in with signed-up resellers to ensure they are actively promoting Scan Ladder, following up with customers, organising local education where relevant, and maintaining adequate stock.
Coordinate relevant promotional and educational opportunities with Lucy, our Operations Manager, including courses, social media, case promotion and reseller-led activities.
Support repeat orders from existing resellers and help ensure they have the information and materials needed to continue selling effectively.
Prepare a weekly summary of reseller activity, new opportunities, sales progress, stock checks, promotional activity and recommended next actions.
Support organic sales growth without spammy, aggressive or misleading sales tactics.
Required skills:
Excellent written and spoken English.
Confident, professional communication style.
Experience in B2B sales support, account management, lead generation, e-commerce support or distributor management.
Comfortable using Shopify, spreadsheets, CRM systems, email and online research tools.
Highly organised and able to follow up consistently.
Able to work independently and report clearly each week.
Comfortable making initial contact with potential resellers and gathering basic commercial information before passing qualified opportunities to the company director.
Experience in dental, medical, healthcare, technology, e-commerce or distributor sales would be helpful but is not essential.
Important:
The contractor will not have authority to enter into contracts, approve pricing, agree reseller terms, vary reseller terms, issue discounts, represent themselves as a director or officer of the company, or bind the company commercially. All pricing, reseller agreements, final commercial terms and formal approvals remain with the company.
The contractor may conduct initial discussions, gather order interest, support reseller communication and prepare opportunities for approval, but all reseller onboarding and contract finalisation will be completed by the company director.
Pay:
Monthly retainer based on agreed hours and experience, plus performance bonus for qualifying new reseller sales directly introduced or actively managed by the contractor.
Bonus structure:
A 5% bonus may be paid on qualifying net revenue from new reseller accounts directly introduced by the contractor, excluding VAT, shipping, discounts, refunds, existing customer accounts and sales generated independently through paid advertising or existing company activity.
Repeat-order commission may also be considered where the contractor actively manages the reseller relationship, supports ongoing promotion, checks stock, coordinates activity with the team and helps secure repeat orders.
All commission payments are subject to the order being paid, completed and not refunded or cancelled.
